Seven major insurers are to use ROOM’s new risk exposure management solution Exact Advantage.

Mutual Marine Office, Inc; Houston Casualty and another US insurer, plus four London-based insurers have all signed contracts to use the new solution, the first to provide underwriters with fully integrated aggregated assessments for both marine and non-marine commercial insurance.

ROOM claims Exact Advantage is the first software solution to combine the assessment of all classes of insurance in any risk scenario over the extent of a windstorm or other catastrophe. In effect, this means it is the first solution able to evaluate all of an underwriter’s exposures to a hurricane moving from sea to land in a single calculation, says the company.

Development of Exact Advantage began in 2005 and the solution was launched in March 2006.
