New electronic messaging system launched

A new messaging service for commercial insurers and brokers has also been launched. The service targets organisations looking to trade electronically using ACORD messaging standards. ACORD Standards provide a common communication method which allows different companies to transact business electronically with agents, brokers and other data partners in the insurance, reinsurance and related financial services industries.

Produced by Trace Isys, Trace Managed Messaging Service has been carrying G6 payloads since July. At present the applications are London based but the service is international. Connel Torley, managing director of Trace Isys, said, “Trace Managed Messaging Service is the first service of its kind in this market place for ACORD messages. Our aim is to considerably reduce both the technical and financial barriers that currently exist to electronic trading.”
