Support for new test

The London Market Faculty has thrown its support behind the new Lloyd’s and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT) which has recently been introduced by the CII, Lloyd’s, the International Underwriting Association, the London Market Brokers Committee and the Lloyd’s Market Association.

Designed to help drive up standards of knowledge, performance and customer care throughout the London Market, the test promotes understanding of insurance practice across the whole of the London subscription market.

London Market Faculty chairman Derek Thornton has welcomed its introduction: “London is such an important and unique market and it is essential that it has its own specialist introductory training.”

“I would like to see everyone who comes to work in the market – be they someone joining straight from school or university to an experienced professional moving into the London Market for the first time – taking LLMIT. That way we can ensure that everyone gets a grounding in London’s working practices and processes and improve standards as a result.”
