Over 40 percent of UK brokers are interested in selling an own-brand household or accident, sickness and unemployment scheme, but very few have a product in place according to independent research conducted for underwriting agency PlusOne.
The Broking Now! research conducted amongst 261 UK brokers found that only ten percent had developed an own-brand household scheme. The findings were even lower for own-brand accident, sickness and unemployment schemes with only ten percent of brokers having these schemes in place. The UK’s super-regional brokers were however the most own-brand focused, especially amongst firms with excess of £20 million premium income.
