New chairman for London Market

David Gittings is the new chairman of the CII's London Market Faculty. He is currently chairman of the risk management committee at Wellington, chairman of the audit committee of the Financial Services Skills Council, chairman of the Lloyd's Market Association Professional Standards Committee and vice president of the Insurance Institute of London.

Gittings said: “This is an exciting time for the Faculty and the London Market. Over the coming months the Faculty will be focusing on the need to attract the brightest and the best recruits, professional development and raising standards.”

Alexander Scott, CII director general added: “David Gittings will take the faculty on to its next level of development. His knowledge and experience of our sector is second to none and will be of immense benefit to members and to the CII to help us ensure that we remain at the forefront of relevance for this vital part of the UK insurance market.”
