Members of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) have unanimously elected New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny as secretary-treasurer of the association.
The election was held at NAIC's recent summer meeting in Washington. D.C.
Sevigny fills the vacancy created by the retirement of former NAIC Secretary-Treasurer Eric Serna, who was also superintendent of the New Mexico Insurance Division. Serna agreed to retire on June 14th as part of a settlement approved by the Public Regulation Commission. Serna is under investigation by the attorney general for his dealings with a bank that does business with the state insurance division
