Colemont Global has acquired one of the top four insurance brokers in Estonia, BKM Kindlustusmaakler, from the country's largest bank Hansabank.

Colemont Eesti Kindlustusmaakler will now be one of the top three brokers in the Estonian insurance industry, with offices in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Rakvere and Viljandi.

“This marks an important development in Colemont's continuing global expansion and will strengthen our presence in the Baltic Region as well as giving us a distinct advantage over other Estonian brokers,” said Surinder Beerh, chief executive officer of Colemont Global Group. Ain Habicht has been appointed managing director of Colemont Estonia's new acquisition (Colemont BKM Kindlustusmaakler) and will report to Heiki Nurmeots, the chairman of the board of Colemont Eesti Kindlustusmaakler.
